Basecamp™ Slow Feeder

I did SO much shopping around looking for a slow feeder and don't know why I didn't come to ruffwear first. Our house and garden are full of their products and all of them are excellent. This feeder looked like the best quality and least gimmicky/cutesy for the humans. Our young rescue dog who inhales her food now takes as long to eat as our chilled out old dog. I worried I'd feel cruel making her eat with this but it doesn't bother her at all. She is super efficient at getting all the food out from the gaps. I do have to stick my hand in and pull out the slow feeder so she can get all the scraps off it and the bowl - this process is a bit gross as we feed raw. I also bought the ruffwear bowl and the fit is necessarily quite tight. I throw this in the dishwasher to ensure it gets a really good clean. Very happy.

This is the first slow feeder that works! I finally don't have to worry about my girl eating. The material is great too! Sturdy and hard, yet soft enough for your mouth and teeth. I'm thrilled! Great design!! Thanks Ruffwear!

My Labrador gobbles his food (just like all the Labs!). I have another slow feeder made from silicone which is good, but it is thin silicone so may not last. I love the sturdiness and big openings of the Basecamp. My pup is raw fed, so having larger areas for the meat and fresh veggies is really wonderful. Honestly, I did not have a clue how great it would be!

Incredibly well made and thick definitely slows my puppy down

My dog had a plastic maze bowl that never really seemed to get entirely clean even when washing by hand. Because this pops out of the bowl, I think i can keep it cleaner. The bigger spaces also work better for her snout size.
