We have 2 dogs that we bought float coats for. One is an 11 year old beagle who LOVES to swim, but I fear her getting tired quickly. I own a 9 pound Chihuahua mix and my daughter has an 11 pound Chihuahua mix, both coming from a Puerto Rican animal rescue. We spend many days out on the pontoon in the summer and our dogs are often in the water at lakeside or paddling around to our floating rafts in the middle of the lake. Ruffwear PFDs are the absolute easiest and quickest to put on, and they keep their little heads above water. Since we also take our dogs on our jet ski to bring them to the beach for potty breaks, it’s comforting to know that if they inadvertently fell off, they would be highly visible and safe from drowning while we circle back. The jackets dry quickly in the sun and are super comfortable for them to wear while underway, since they spend a lot of time standing up and smelling the breeze. They are worth every penny! Both of our dogs wear an XXS.
